For questions about any of the techniques discussed in our Technical Articles, please contact the authors directly. Email and/or postal addresses are found at the end of each article.

To request permission to reprint anything on this site, please read the information in Copyright (click on the copyright notice at the bottom of any page of the site), then send your written request to the address above.

Please see our list of volunteer needs and tell our volunteer coordinator what information and skills you can offer! Send information about competitive exhibitions of prints, paperworks, artists' books or other works on paper to director @ printalliance .org

If you are a subscriber, we will be glad to try to answer your questions about print issues; please send them to director @ printalliance .org or to the regular mail address above. However, please understand that we have a very limited staff and our time is dedicated to the journal, travelling and internet exhibits, resource publications, etc. (projects that help many, many people at once), so we cannot take on research projects for individuals. It may take us a while to respond to your message, so please be patient while we will try to provide information or put you in touch with someone who can help. If you aren't a subscriber, please understand that requests from subscribers always come first.

Some things we cannot do no matter how little time it would take:

  1. We cannot give legal advice nor recommend a lawyer.
  2. We cannot recommend you or your work to curators, workshops, galleries or print dealers nor can we evaluate artwork. Of course we encourage all potential collectors and exhibition venues to visit our Print Bin and exhibition pages, to see which artists' works we have accepted.
  3. We cannot give you the address, telephone number or email of a printmaker you are trying to find. If you are a subscriber, we will be glad to forward your letter if we have an address for someone. Put your letter in a stamped envelope that has your return address in the corner and "to" the name of the person you want to reach but leaves the "to" address blank, and send it to the Alliance in a larger envelope. (If you do not live in the United States, you can order U.S. postage stamps from the Alliance, please see Advocacy.)
  4. If we have an email address for an artist, we can forward your email to them only if you state clearly that you give us permission to do so, since it will reveal your address to the artist.
  5. We cannot provide free sample issues of Contemporary Impressions: the journal is far too expensive because of its high production values (acid-free recycled paper, duotone printing throughout, an average of 30-40 illustrations per issue, and exceptional editing and layout).
  6. We cannot appraise or authenticate works of art, even prints and artists' books.
