Show your work in the Gallery

Post an image of your print, paperwork, or artist's book in our Internet Gallery: only $15 ($10 each additional image) for a full year.

  1. Send a sharp 35mm slide or jpeg file of an original print, computer print, paperwork or artist book. Work must have been created in the last three years and at least one in the edition must be for sale. 
  2. Slides must be in 2 x 2" cardboard or thin plastic mounts, no glass; use silver photo tape for any masking; mark the top (arrow or dot lower left). Slides and disks will not be returned and may be used by the Alliance for education (e.g. lectures and classes.) 
  3. Enclose a check or money order in U.S. dollars for $15 for the first image, $10 for each additional image if you are a current subscriber to Contemporary Impressions, send $25 per image if you are not a subscriber; maximum of five images. (You may combine amounts for the gallery, subscription and other publications in the same check.) 
  4. Complete a form for each work and send us two signed copies. Every artist in a collaboration must sign. 
A note about piracy on the Internet. Even the best security cannot protect an image from sophisticated capture systems. However, the quality of a digital image at 72 dots per inch is less than an illustration in a catalogue or magazine screened at 100 to 150 dots per inch, and printed paper is easy for anyone to re-photograph, photocopy or scan. The big difference is that a few hundred people might see the printed page, but hundred of thousands of people around the world can see an image on the Internet. Artists must decide if they want this far greater visibility for their work.
